Our Journey

Our journey started in 2000 as good friends. Our families lived down the street from each other and in the summer of 2000 a spark lit between us. After many years of dating we married in 2007 and it’s been an adventure ever since. In 2010 we began thinking about starting a family. In 2012 we found out I had stage IV endometriosis and it would be difficult to conceive a child on our own. We attempted an IVF cycle but it was cancelled due to poor egg quality and quantity. It came to a point where we had to decide if we wanted to be pregnant or parents. The treatments for infertility are staggering, so we decided to use our time, energy and resources to adopt domestically. Our journey to have a family has been a long one, full of ups and downs, heartbreak and hope. We have been on this adoption journey for two years now.  We have been matched once but it fell through. We walk through this journey step by step, holding hand the whole way. It's scary but our faith has never been stronger! We started this blog to share our story, educate others about adoption and give others a little hope.
